Abilene is Boring!

“Abilene is boring.” It’s an age old adage that, to some, still holds true today. Luckily, this little town of dust and constant summer has a quite a few hotspots (both new and old) that we think every student should know about. If you have anything to add to this list, please let us know!

Anyway, without further ado...

Cool Things to Do in Abilene!

• Go to the Drive-in Theatre: {Town & Country Drive-In Theater}, 2902 Vogel Ave. (915)677-9899

• Go to the park (Nelson Park on S. 11th) and feed the ducks.

• Play disc golf at Will Hair Park (on Cedar Creek) or Cal Young Park (on T&P Lane).

• Be active in the Students’ Association.

• Go downstairs in the bean sprout, to the SA office and ask how you can be a part of the Student Government here on campus.

• Join the Different organizations on the ACU campus.

• Enjoy all the free activities on campus including freshman social and all the free movies offered at Cullen Auditorium.

• Take pictures of all the amazing architecture around Abilene

• Monks coffee shop typically has free live music every Thursday night from 9pm to midnight.
